LEVEL II
Advanced Study | Minor Exorcism

Level II training for SSM members includes an online academic seminar and a 2-day in-person practical training conference consisting of 10 academic courses, 4 academic workshops, and 3 academic practicums in total.

​

Required Reading (to be completed before the online academic seminar):

  • Kurt Koch, Occult Bondage and Deliverance

  • Steven Hassan, Combatting Cult Mind Control

  • Francis MacNutt, Deliverance from Evil Spirits

  • Steven Rossetti, Diary of an American Exorcist

​

Testing is as follows:

  1. A multiple choice exam plus short-form essay following the online academic seminar (AC201 - AC209)

  2. A written case summary report after the in-person workshop (AW208)

  3. A 1000-word essay on the practicum experience (AP201 - AP203)

 

Level II Certification Requirements:

  1. Attendance at both the online academic conference and the in-person practical conference

  2. All testing is approved by SSM Board.

 

Level II Certification and Deliverance Ministry Function:

After completion of the Level II Certification Requirements, you are certified by SSM (NOT LICENSED, which is only issued by your Bishop) to perform deliverance prayers and function on teams that conduct (up to) minor exorcisms.

Level III Pre-requisites:

After completion of the Level II Certification Requirements AND a written case summary of a case where you functioned as a team member or exorcist, you are cleared to attend the Level III training.

A supervised practical application of deliverance/exorcism prayers with in small groups. (Students will write a 1000-word essay after attending AP201, AP202, and AP203  which serves as a prerequisite for Level III.)

CREATING A DELIVERANCE TEAM + YEAR TWO PLAN

An interactive workshop focused on assessing the current state of the participant's deliverance ministry team and developing an evolution plan for Year 2.
